Posture Training

Poor posture over time can lead to tissue damage and the onset of pain and other symptoms. There are many postural changes common with increasing age. These postural changes could be caused by malalignments due to osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and spinal stenosis. Through postural exercise training by our licensed physical therapists, older adults can make changes in their posture that will help them to age well. Here is how postural exercise training benefits you:

  • Strengthens your body's joints and structures

  • Enhances tissue healing

  • Properly aligns posture

  • Improves mobility of spine, neck and shoulders

  • Prevents recurrent injury, pain and symptoms.

We will teach you how to strengthen the muscles necessary to improve your posture, while leaving you the flexibility needed to reduce muscle strain on your spine.
